Calling all students, artists and inspired community members.

Burnie Shines is turning 20 and to celebrate the special occasion Burnie City Council is calling for students, artists and inspired community members to get their creative on…it’s time for the Burnie Shines Logo Design Competition! The task - re-design the Burnie Shines logo and visual identity.

Burnie City Council Mayor Steve Kons said “The Burnie Shines Festival draws on the city's reputation as a place for makers and creators, our community is bursting with creativity, so there is no better way to mark the 20th anniversary of the Burnie Shines festival, than to get people creating!”

Entry is via the Burnie Shines website and is open to all Burnie residents, students and past Burnie Shines Featured Artists. Entries will be accepted from Monday 27 July and will close on Friday 18 September 2020.

The winning entry will receive a prize of $250 payable in Burnie Gift Cards (redeemable at various Burnie businesses). Two additional honorary mentions will receive Burnie Gift Cards to the value of $50 each.

All entries will be exhibited on the Burnie City Council and Burnie Shines Websites.
