The Moree Community Library is starting a new chapter when it comes to library programs, this term offering members mail out program packs and new activity kits to loan.
This term, popular mail out program packs - Colouring Club and Brain Training - will return while new activity kits will be available for a 14-day loan period to junior library members.
Big Sky Libraries Regional Manager, Sally Walters is excited to offer the mail out program packs again this term and rollout the new activity kits to loan.
“Due to Covid-19 we will not be offering our usual in-house programs and instead continue with the mail out program packs for some of our programs. For something a little different for our younger library members, we will also have available new activity kits to loan,” explained Mrs Walters.
“Last term we had a great response from the community with over 50 members requesting term 2 program packs with our most popular pack being the Seniors Brain Training pack.
“This term, Colouring Club and Brain Training will continue to operate as usual with packs mailed to members who request them every 2 weeks.
“The other mail out program packs have been replaced by activity kits which are available for a 14-day loan period, these kits are targeted towards our younger members of the library and focus on areas like robotics, science and reading,” said Mrs Walters.
The three new kits available for junior members to loan for a 14-day period from the Moree Community Library include:
• Edison Robotics Kits - recommended for age 8+ This kit focuses on coding, robotics, and engineering providing members with the instructions and materials to design and build their very own robot.
• Little Bang Discovery Club Kits - recommended for ages 4+ This kit focuses on science providing members with the instructions and materials needed to conduct their own experiments.
• Storytime Kits - recommended for ages 3+ This kit focuses on reading providing members with the materials needed to enjoy storytime at home, including a book, song, and craft activity.
