Our libraries on the Northern Beaches are local community hubs bursting with activity, where each week parents and bubs sing at Rhyme Time, students study for exams, seniors learn tech at Computer Pals and visitors uncover their family’s history through the Local Studies service.

But did you know a lot also happens when the sun goes down?

Last year, over 3,000 people attended after-hours activities in our libraries, including 1,600 young people. From author talks to HSC pizza study nights, there’s a lot going on in our libraries at night-time.

Due to COVID-19, our regular programs have been postponed until further notice so our libraries have been a little quieter than usual- and it’s the perfect time to capture your new ideas and interests for future programming.

Do you want to see trivia nights, film screenings or live comedy in our libraries? Whatever your idea add it to our Ideas Board and be creative!

You don’t need to be a Library member or regular visitor to get involved- we want to hear from our entire Northern Beaches community. Tell us what would entice you to visit our Libraries at night.

Our Activation of Library Spaces project is open until Sunday 9 August – have your say and transform what’s on at our libraries after dark.
