Get in fast for advertising grants

Published on 28 July 2020

Time is running out for small businesses hit by the COVID-19 pandemic to apply for Corangamite Shire Council’s Traditional Advertising Grants.

The $50,000 program is part of Council’s stimulus package to help restart the local economy.

Businesses can apply for up to $2,000 on a $1:$2 basis to advertise with local newspapers and radio stations.

Manager Growth and Engagement Rory Neeson said applicants must be located in the Shire, have an ABN and employ no more than 20 full-time equivalent staff.

“They need to show they have been financially impacted by the pandemic by having received State or Federal COVID-19 funding.”

Funding will be allocated on a first-in-first-served basis until the $50,000 has all been allotted.

The program guidelines and an online application form are here.

Mr Neeson encouraged business operators to study the program guidelines on Council’s website and speak to a Council Officer to help prepare their application.

“Call our Economic Development Team on 5593 7100 and they will help you understand the guidelines and what requirements your application will need to meet.”
