Campbelltown residents can now get free help lodging their tax returns at local libraries.
The Australian Taxation Office is running the Tax Help service for people earning about $60,000 or less from August until October at the HJ Daley Library, Campbelltown.
People can book a 45 minute Tax Help session on Wednesdays between 10am and 2pm with a trained volunteer from the ATO.
Tax Help will also be available at the Greg Percival Library, Ingleburn. Session times will be released soon.
Anyone attending a Tax Help session should bring with them:
Their myGov user ID and password Bank account details (BSB and account number) Tax file number An original or amended notice of assessment from any one of the last five years (the assessment needs to have been issued before 31 May this year) Income statements from all sources Receipts for gifts, donations and work-related expenses Details of any child support payments made Details of any losses on investments in shares and rental properties (net investment losses).If you had a spouse (married or de-facto) at any time during the financial year, you also need to bring details of their taxable income or a reasonable estimate.
