Enrolments for Gannawarra Shire Council’s four-year-old kindergartens and three-year-old programs for 2021 are now open.
Enrolment packs have been distributed to families who completed an expression of interest via Gannawarra Shire Council’s website, as well as families currently accessing services whose children are eligible to attend four-year-old kindergarten and three-year-old programs next year.
“Council thanks residents who took advantage of our online expression of interest request, which has enabled the distribution of enrolment packs in a timely manner,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.
“Council looks forward to continuing to offer four-year-old kindergarten education at our facilities located at Cohuna, Kerang, Koondrook and Leitchville, as well as a three-year-old program at Cohuna, Koondrook and Leitchville.
“To be eligible for four-year-old kindergarten, children must be turning four years of age before 30 April 2021; and to be eligible for three-year-old programs, children must be three years of age before 30 April 2021.”
Enrolment packs must be returned to the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre before round one applications close at 5pm on Friday, 4 September 2020.
“Parents and guardians can prepare now by having a number of documents ready. These include their child’s current immunisation history statement, any applicable court orders and, if applicable, a signed Medical Action Plan from their child’s doctor,” Mr O’Reilly said.
“Families who return completed forms by the round one closing date are more likely to be allocated the days they wish their child to attend.”
Expressions of interest are still being accepted, which can be completed by visiting www.gsc.vic.gov.au/enrolments or by contacting the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre on (03) 5452 1357.
