Signs on track for COVID-19 safe exercise
Bayside City Council 13 Aug 2020

New social distancing signs along the Bay Trial and beach paths are reminding walkers, joggers, riders and other users to stay safe during their one hour of exercise.

The signs illustrate the 1.5m distance required to stay safe and include reminders of path etiquette:

Keep in single file while passing Move off the path when stopping Follow mask and social gathering guidelines.

Signs have been installed at entry points to the beach paths and ‘hot spot’ areas.

Council is receiving many calls from concerned residents on path etiquette and lack of social distancing during COVID-19. We encourage everyone to be mindful of others.

If you wish to report a suspected breach of public health restrictions, contact the Victoria Police Assistance Line on 131 444 or report online here.

Bayside is a kind and connected community – let’s all do the right thing and get on track to beat this virus.
