West Tamar Highway Cycling Improvements Launceston to LeganaThe Tasmanian Government has developed a six-point plan to address high priority projects along the West Tamar Highway, which includes $1.5 million in improvements to cycling facilities and cycling safety between Launceston and Legana.
The Cycling Safety Imrpovements project will improve approximately 10km of cycling facilities on the West Tamar Highway between Margaret Street, Launceston and Legana Park Drive, Legana.
Works will be completed to improve surfacing on shoulders, improving safety and user experience for cyclists. It is anticipated that construction will commence in late August 2020 and will be completed in late December 2020, weather permitting.
