A new regional park is being established in the Greater Bunbury area consisting of the previously proposed Preston River to Ocean and the Leschenault Regional Parks.
What is happening?
Regional Parks are a mixture of bushland reserves and parklands that are managed by a range of agencies, including the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and local government.
DBCA’s Parks and Wildlife Service is responsible for coordinating the establishment and management of the new regional park, including preparation of a management plan that will guide future on-ground management for all local and State Government management agencies.
Have your say on how the proposed Kalgulup Regional Park will be managed. The plan outlines how the values of the park will be protected and conserved, while at the same time encouraging people to enjoy the park in a sustainable manner so that the values that attract visitors now are maintained for future generations.
The plan may be downloaded and submissions made at dbca.wa.gov.au/haveyoursay Online submissions are preferred, however, written submissions will also be accepted via post to: Planning Unit Parks and Wildlife Service Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions Locked Bag 104 Bentley Delivery Centre WA 6983
For more information contact Aminya Ennis on 9725 4300 or Paul Roberts on 9771 7942.
The closing date for public submissions is 15 October 2020.
