Register or update details to our free online Community Directory

Community-based groups, organisations and individuals offering free or low-cost services or activities to Maroondah residents are invited to register their details on Council’s Community Directory and promote their services free-of-charge.

The Community Directory is a free online search guide of community groups, clubs, services and facilities across Maroondah, including halls and facilities that are available for hire, making it easy for residents to connect with groups and services in their local area.

Eligible groups and clubs can register to be included in the free online directory by filling in their contact details online or by contacting Council by phone.

Councillor Nora Lamont said that as well as being an easy reference guide to local services, agencies and regional resources, the online directory provided information on services and facilities offered by Council.

“The online directory is a fantastic resource that not only helps you to discover what’s out there and where to find support, it also helps residents connect with health and community services in their local area,” Cr Lamont said.

The directory lists the details of hundreds of community-based organisations, including sporting clubs, welfare agencies, historical societies, home-care support, theatre and church groups, child care and much more.

Visitors to our website can search for a specific listing or browse categories alphabetically. You can also view community directory listings by typing in a keyword and hitting ‘search’, or search by category, subcategory or organisation name.

“With so many active community groups and organisations operating across Maroondah, the directory supports the valuable work they do and the services offered,” Cr Lamont said.

“Best of all, the directory is readily accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This means groups listed can easily update their online listing at any time, as their details change,” Cr Lamont said.

To be included in the Community Directory community groups and organisations must be situated within the boundaries of the City of Maroondah, not-for-profit, and have no political affiliation.
