Council is seeking input from the community as it develops a Master Plan and Plan of Management for the Picton Botanic Gardens Precinct.
The precinct includes Hume Oval, Picton Sportsground, RSL Park, Racecourse and Stonequarry Creek pathways and Picton Botanic Gardens.
Mayor Matthew Deeth said, “This is a heavily utilised recreation area and we want to make sure we get it right for our future community.” “We want to know what you want to see in this public space in the next 10 years. It could be BBQ facilities, a permanent stage, upgraded facilities at the oval and sportsground, shaded seating areas, outdoor exercise equipment or more public art. We would love to hear your ideas!”
Interested community members should visit Your Say Wollondilly where they can take a quick poll on the Picton Sportsground field layout options, and take the survey about ways to improve the whole area.
Consultation closes at 12pm on 31 August 2020. For more information call Council on 02 4677 1100 or email [email protected]
