Blackall combined agents yarded 1840 head at last week's prime and store sale.

Cattle were sourced from McKinlay, Winton, Hughenden, Julia Creek, Alpha, Torrens Creek, Barcaldine, Blackall, Yaraka, Muttaburra and surrounding districts.

With good competition for heavy cattle, prices increased in areas and limited numbers of feeders presented saw similar pricing to previous weeks. There was a strong market of restockers chasing lighter weight cattle and cow/calf units.

Bulls under 450kg sold to 395.2c, average 329.3c, and bulls over 450kg made 328.2c, average 297.1c.

Cows under 300kg sold to 240.2c, average 208.6c, cows 300-400kg sold to 254.2c, average 225.9c, cows 400-500kg made 290.2c, average 250.8c, and cows over 500kg reached 280c, to average 269.8c.

Heifers under 220kg made 408.2c, average 356.5c, heifers 220-280kg sold to 374.2c, averaging 328.2c, heifers 280-350kg reached 376.2c, average 287c, heifers 350-450kg made 342.2c, average 294.8c, and heifers over 450kg sold to 320c, averaging 299.5c.
