The Lithgow Youth Council has teamed up with the ABC’s Heywire competition to present a virtual storytelling workshop on Monday 31 August at 5:00pm and everyone is welcome to this virtual event.

Everyone has a story to tell and this workshop will help you to identify what story you want to share with the world. The experience of living, studying and working in regional Australia is unique and the young people of Lithgow have amazing insight and experience to share with the rest of the country.

Heywire is an opportunity for young rural Australians to have their voices heard, and share what life is like in their part of the world with the rest of the nation. This annual storytelling competition, run by the ABC, showcases what it’s like to live in regional, rural and remote Australia. Winning Heywire is a chance for young people to have their story told on the ABC and see the impact their story can have. Entries are open now and close on September 16.
