In July 2020, five development application approvals were determined by Lachlan Shire Council, valued at $1,560,800. These were:
· DA2020/10 - Waste Transfer Station, Condobolin
· DA2020/14 - Demolition of existing and construction of new Dwelling, Condobolin
· DA 2020/16 - Construction of patio over Pub beer garden, Condobolin
· DA 2020/17 - Two Lot Torrens title subdivision, Lake Cargelligo
· DA 2020/18 - Demolition of existing building and construction of new Public Amenities Building. Lake Cargelligo
There were six applications lodged with Council in the same period, with a total value of $1,212,126. Those received were:
· DA2020/20 - Construction of Carport, Lake Cargelligo
· DA2020/21 - In-ground swimming pool and construction of Shed, Condobolin
· DA 2020/22 - Construction of Shed, Condobolin
· DA 2020/23 - Illuminated pylon sign at BP, Condobolin
· DA 2020/24 - Alterations and Additions to Murrin Bridge Preschool including Community Facility, Murrin Bridge
· DA 2020/25 - Construction of Building for use as General Industry and Two Lot Torrens Title subdivision, Lake Cargelligo
In the same period last year, only two development applications were received with a value of $9000 and there was only one approved.
Town Planning Manager Bryce Koop said this is a large increase in the amount of development activity on the corresponding period last year.
“This shows that the local building economy is active and there is ongoing investment in our shire,” he said.
