Macedon Ranges Shire Council’s Music in the Sticks (MITS) program is looking for young people to enter their online 2020 Battle of the Bands competition.
Renamed ‘Battle of the Bandwidth’ to fit in with the online theme, young people aged 12-25 are encouraged to get involved and showcase their musical talent while in lockdown.
Any young person living, working or attending school in the shire can apply. Bands, duos and solo artists from all genres are encouraged to get creative and upload two of their songs.
All entries will be judged by a panel of local judges, with cash prizes up for grabs (first place taking $300, second prize $200 and third $100).
So if you know of a talented young person who deserves to have their music showcased, encourage them to get practicing and enter this year’s Battle of the Bandwidth competition.
Registrations are now open online and will close on Sunday 11 October 2020 at 11.59pm.
