Sunraysia residents looking to get the most out of their landfill, recycling and green bins are encouraged to take part in Council’s Waste Q & A Tricks and Tips.
Residents are invited to email through any questions they have about Council’s kerbside collection service from now until 5pm on 4 September.
Questions will be collated and responded to online via video on Council’s Facebook page in the second week of September.
Councillor for Environment and Farming Sustainability Anthony Cirillo said Waste Q & A Tricks and Tips was an opportunity for residents to have their own questions answered, while at the same time helping to broaden information in the community about how to best manage waste at home.
“For residents who have questions around waste management on their properties our Waste Services team have tried to make it as easy as possible to send in your questions, simply by flicking through a quick email,” Cr Cirillo said.
“And by publicly answering these queries online, it may well address questions other people have had, but not asked.
“Similarly, our team’s responses to residents’ questions may highlight tricks and tips people can use in their homes to better manage their waste, live more sustainably, or simply prompt people to look differently at how they can get the most out of their landfill, recycling and green bins.”
Residents can submit their questions by emailing Council’s Waste Education and Project Officer Emily Quinn Smyth at [email protected]
