Local businesses are keen for the community to return and enjoy the new playground and public space at Killarney Heights.

While the shops remained open during the two-month revamp, businesses are encouraging locals to spend local and help them stay afloat as COVID-19 has been a very trying time for them.

Improvements include new play equipment suitable for all ages, soft fall and synthetic turf, landscaping, additional seating, a shade net, and footpath lighting along the Tramore Place pathway.

Garth Paterson, Director of Paterson Design Studio located in the precinct said the collaboration with Council has been seamless.

“Council did a fantastic job in liaising with both the body corporate and local business owners, retailers and the wider Killarney Heights community in the design and final delivery of the much-needed makeover of this popular outdoor play area.”

The Killarney Heights Village really does have something for everyone. There are currently 20 businesses at the site, which offer an array of activities for families including an art studio, dance studio, martial arts academy, school of music, and the literacy circle.

For the hungry, there’s cuisine from around the globe including a pizza restaurant, Japanese bakery, French patisserie, and some beautiful cafes.

There is also a liquor store, greengrocer, hairdresser, dental product manufacturer, real estate agent, architects, and accountants. What are you waiting for? Come down as everything you need is all in the one spot!
