Mareeba Shire Council will be commencing works on the upgrade of the water main on Rob Veivers Drive in Kuranda in late September. The project will start from the Therwine Street roundabout and works will be carried out in stages back towards the highway, allowing Council to safely upgrade the section of water main and keep disruption to a minimum. Traffic management will be in place while the works are carried out. The project is scheduled to take approximately three months to complete. Council thanks the community in advance for its patient and cooperation while the critical upgrade is carried out.
