Lachlan pride

Lachlan Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest in forming a committee with the aim of fostering a “whole of Lachlan Shire identity and pride”.

Council is currently undergoing a rebranding process and through discussions with Community leaders has identified the need to strengthen and enhance the Shire’s cohesion and identity. We face difficulty in this task due, in part, to the geography of the Shire, with at least 100kms separating the largest communities with the common thread of local government being the only thing that links them together.

Council would like to initiate an ongoing “Lachlan Pride” project with the aim of changing the way people see their place in the Shire – and the Shire itself.

As a starting point Council is seeking expressions of interest from people willing to be a part of the group to drive this ongoing project.
