Keen swimmers will be thrilled to hear that Central Highlands’ aquatic centres have begun re-opening, with measures in place at each facility to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
As per current Queensland legislation, all aquatic centres are required to record the details of each patron who attends the facility. Patrons have the option to scan a QR code via their smartphone or have their details manually entered on a digital database. This information will only be accessed on request by Queensland Health.
Patrons are encouraged to sanitise their hands upon entry to facilities and hand sanitiser is readily available at all aquatic centres. Floor signage has been installed at each centre reminding attendees of the need to keep 1.5 metres apart.
