Penguin Foreshore Remediation & Upgrade Project | Progress Update

Works on Johnsons Beach Rd, Penguin will begin on Monday 14 September and will be completed in this area by early to mid November (opened back up to the public). Works will include, removal of existing footpath, garden beds, rock revetment works, new concrete path & also the car parking area. Please note, Johnsons Beach Rd will remain open during this time but please remain cautious if travelling in the area as traffic management will be in place.

The current fencing area along Main Rd (adjacent to the foreshore playground) will become an official work site from Monday 14 September and the footpath will remain open to the public. From Monday 28 September and during the week until Friday 2 October, the footpath and nearby identified carpark spaces will be closed off due to the delivery of required equipment. The fence will be moved back, carpark spaces and the footpath will reopen to the public on the afternoon/evening on Friday 2 October.

Council regrets the inconvenience caused by this closure and asks for cooperation in avoiding the construction site during this period.
