The future of the land is now uncertain after the applicants withdrew their application, just two months after it was submitted.

Monday, 31 August: Cockburn MLA Fran Logan announced he would stand down at the 2021 State election, 20 years after first being elected in the seat of Cockburn. opens in a new window Mr Logan will continue in his role as Minister for Emergency Services and Corrective Services until the election.   Saturday, 29 August: The footy club which once boasted Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett as a young ruck tyro gathered on August 29 at Davilak Oval in Hamilton Hill to commemorate its formation in 1961. opens in a new window The Cockburn Football Club reunion also marked the 50th anniversary of the CFC’s greatest triumph – the 1970 league premiership as the Cockburn East Fremantle Football Club when they were coached by footy legend Con Regan, who was also captain.
