The Council invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organisations and individuals to operate a new café in the Ulverstone Cultural Precinct building (currently under construction).

The Ulverstone Cultural Precinct development will provide a modern hub for local and regional tourism and public education.  It will co-locate the Ulverstone Visitor Centre and local History Museum with a new science centre, planetarium, gallery, and workshops for local arts, crafts and cultural makers.

A prominent position on the building ground floor is to be developed as a café or similar contemporary food and beverage enterprise.

The Council now invites EOI from interested parties, to identify a preferred operator for the café enterprise.  We are receptive to applications from any interested parties, including commercial operators, community organisations, and social enterprises.

An appropriate tenancy and operations agreement will be negotiated with the preferred operator, who will have opportunity for input into the interior design and fit-out of the space.

The EOI document is temporarily unavailable.

Further information can be obtained from the Community Development Group Leader, Simon Angilley by phoning (03) 6429 8950.

In accordance with the formal EOI document, EOIs can be submitted:

In person at 19 King Edward Street, Ulverstone; or By post to PO Box 220, Ulverstone  TAS  7315; or By email to [email protected]

EOIs close at 4pm on Friday 2 October 2020.
