Urandangi's Sandy Anderson Park playground will be formally reopened on Friday October 9. A new playground has given the park a facelift with a seesaw and swing set,to keep the youngest residents of the town very happy The $50,000 project was identified by Boulia Shire Council and funded under the Works for Queensland Program. On Friday at noon there will be an official opening of the playground and the completion of works at the Urandangi water tanks. The water tanks relining and water treatment installation project was also cofunded by the Queensland government. Meanwhile Boulia Shire Council has released a bird's eye video of the completion of the recent 5km sealing works on the Donohue Hwy between Boulia and the NT border. Council said that once the most recent section of the seal is complete, this will bring the total amount of sealed road in the Boulia Shire's section to 145.9km which is 60 percent of the road within the shire. The project comes under the Outback Way Package, a collaboration between Federal, State and Local Governments, being rolled out over two years. "We're already planning to seal the next section, 7.35km of the Donahue Highway around the border; this project work has started," council said. Boulia Shire to officially open Urandangi facilities next month

Urandangi's Sandy Anderson Park playground will be formally reopened on Friday October 9.

The $50,000 project was identified by Boulia Shire Council and funded under the Works for Queensland Program.

On Friday at noon there will be an official opening of the playground and the completion of works at the Urandangi water tanks.
