Temporary Closure of Hassans Walls Road, Lithgow

Council wishes to advise residents of the temporary closure of Hassans Walls Road, Lithgow, from Rutherford Lane to Hassans Walls Lookout.
Following recent rain events, a large tree has dislodged, causing erosion and failure at the edge of the road embankment. The temporary road closure will commence from Tuesday, 15 September 2020, to allow Council contractors to carry out stabilisation and rectification works to the affected area. Works are expected to be completed on Friday, 18 September 2020, weather permitting.
Access to Hassans Walls Lookout through the Hartley Valley Road / Browns Gap Road entrance will be available whilst works are carried out. The patience of the affected residents is appreciated and Council advises that traffic conditions must be observed by all motorists travelling through the area.
