Macedon Ranges Shire Council appointed John Hausler as Acting Chief Executive Officer at a Council meeting tonight.
Mr Hausler has been with Council since 2017 as Director Corporate and Community. He has a track record of success in leading corporate and community services, and prior to joining Council served as Director of Corporate and Community Services with the District Council of Loxton Waikerie in South Australia.
Supported by a strong and united executive team, as Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr Hausler will be focused on leading the organisation through the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, continuing to embed the recent organisational restructure, and helping the organisation to prepare for the upcoming Council elections and new incoming Council.
The Acting Chief Executive Officer replaces Margot Stork, who announced her resignation from Council last week.
At the meeting Council resolved to thank Ms Stork for her dedication and professionalism during her term as the Chief Executive Officer of Council and wished her the very best for her future endeavours.
