We know that this has been a difficult time for everyone and we’re so happy to be able to reconnect you with the physical library resources you love from Monday 14 September.
From this Monday we will be offering you a contactless Click and Collect service from Frankston, Carrum Downs and Seaford libraries. The return chutes will also be open at these locations from 9am Monday.
Visit the Frankston City Libraries website to browse and search the catalogue for items and reserve them with your library card. Our popular Binge Bags are also available to reserve.
When your reserved item becomes available, you will be notified via email. You will then need to call your preferred library to book a time to collect your reservation, however please be mindful of the reduced opening hours at each location.
If you live in Frankston City and are unable to leave your home, or your closest library is outside of your 5km, please contact us and we will arrange a delivery for you.
We’d like to thank you for taking care of your library resources while the library branches were closed and for the heart-warming messages so many of you have sent us over the past six months – they’ve meant so much to all the library staff and we can’t thank you enough for these.
All the items currently out on loan are due back from 4 November, so there’s not need to rush them back.
All returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours before being returned to our library collection, this means your items will remain on your library card for a few days after you return them.
Of course, our priority is the health and wellbeing of our staff, visitors and the broader community. Please be patient with us as we follow the Victorian Government’s Coronavirus roadmap to reopening and slowly transition back to being a fully functioning library service.
Stay safe by maintaining good hygiene, keeping your distance from others and if you feel unwell please stay home.
