Foodbank Team members Eamon and Fran brought the Food Sensations for Adults class to Kambalda on Wednesday 19th August.
The first of two classes was well supported by a keen and enthusiastic group. Food Sensations is a FREE nutrition and cooking program that is hands on, fun and provides a safe environment to learn new recipes. It is a practical program funded by the Department of health to offer clarity around what a healthy diet is and reduce confusion around nutrition.
Topics covered are the importance of cooking healthy and nutritious food, how to create a food budget, plan meals, read labels and food safety.
The second class will be held on Wednesday 9th September at the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility and there are still spaces available. If you missed the first class and you would like to join in we can arrange a video version of what was learnt in the first week for you to catch up.
For registering please phone the Kambalda Community Recreation Facility on 9080 2111.
