The usually all so quiet Kambalda Library was filled with makers and creators for our after school ‘All about Dad Crafternoon' workshop inviting to make Dad that special handmade gift just in time for Father's Day on the first September weekend.
We added a little game corner with giant Jenga, memory, table soccer and a large selection of LEGO bricks and on top of all the craft stations with key ring, gift box, photo frame making and plenty of colouring in to choose from, we run a competition amongst all families who attended.
There was a tricky 13 question quiz with question such as naming as many planets of the solar system, naming Peppa Pig’s little brother and finding the correct answer to the tallest animal in the world as well as a coordination and mystery wooden box task to collect as many points as possible.
Well done to everyone and congratulations to brothers Zac & Zain for 3rd, brothers Lucas and Kai for winning 2nd and Macaylee who won the 1st prize. A big Thank you to Shasta from Elements Hair Tribe for her in-kind donation of our 1st prize for the competition.
What a fantastic crafternoon was had by all - most of whom went straight to the Wednesday Afternoon Kids Sports in the stadium to burn some more energy.
If you wish to find out more about what's on in the library or stadium for your children, please contact the KCRF team on Ph. (08) 9080 2111 or send us an email to [email protected]
We hope all the Dad's and kids enjoyed Father’s Day with lots of special gifts this year!
