The Heavy Plant Operator (Landfill) is responsible for the operation and general maintenance of Council plant at the Mareeba Landfill site. The position involves physically demanding work in a hot and humid climate on a daily basis. Applicants must be physically fit to efficiently and effectively undertake these tasks. This role includes a requirement to maintain a weight at or below the Safe Working Load (SWL) for the seat of the machinery and equipment being operated.
