The Huon Valley Council is excited to welcome Tasmanians to our beautiful region these school holidays.
We would like to remind Tasmanians that our RV sites on Council land at Franklin, Shipwrights Point (Port Huon) and Geeveston are temporarily closed while the necessary planning approvals and management arrangements are put in place.
However, there are many other private sites located throughout the Valley to park your caravan or pitch your tent. Visit www.huonvalleytas.com/huon-valley-campgrounds for a list of sites and their contact details.
Free public camp sites
Most Tasmania Parks & Wildlife Service facilities have reopened, meaning you can once again make use of the free camping sites located around southern Tasmania’s National Parks. Visit parks.tas.gov.au to explore.
