An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Local SES Controller to join our Corporate, Governance & Financial Services (CGFS) Directorate in the Isaac Region.
Reporting to the Manager Organisational Safety, the Local SES Controller position provides the lead and management of the Volunteer units of the State Emergency Service within the Isaac Region, in accordance with policies, procedure and legislation.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
12 months experience in the position of as an appointed Local Controller or Deputy Local Controller. Demonstrated significant knowledge of the Queensland Disaster Management System. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team or teams in pressure situations involving quality decision, working under operational conditions, requiring accuracy and judgement. Demonstrated ability in the application of planning, resource management, budgeting and time management skills applicable to volunteer organisations (s). ‘C’ class Queensland driver’s licence.For this position we offer:
