The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for North West Queensland. The warning is for damaging winds, large hailstorms and heavy rainfall for people in parts of Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, North West, Central West, Channel Country and Maranoa and Warrego Forecast Districts. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Thargomindah, Longreach, Windorah, Isisford, Winton and Boulia. It won't quite reach Mount Isa but we may get more rain on Tuesday. The forecast is for partly cloudy conditions, with a medium(40%) chance of showers in the morning and afternoon and the chance of a thunderstorm in the morning.
