Sunday Music returns to Fremantle Arts Centre next month with a stellar line-up of WA’s best musicians.
Running from 2–4pm every Sunday from October through to March, visitors can enjoy a handpicked selection of local music acts in the beautiful surrounds of FAC’s South Lawn.
October’s line-up of free concerts features some of WA’s finest talent, including touching singer-songwriters Noah Dillon and Nika Mo on 4 October, country music troubadour Albert Loss and relatable rockers Verge Collection on 11 October, guitar-slinging Abbe May on 18 October and alt-country performer Siobhan Cotchin alongside the folky sounds of Kat Wilson Trio on 25 October.
Fremantle Arts Centre Acting Director Marcus Dickson said Sunday Music represented the Arts Centre at its best.
“After the huge hit to the live music industry this year because of COVID-19 we’re especially thrilled Sunday Music is back for the people of WA to enjoy and we can support local musicians,” Mr Dickson said.
“With a bar and a rotating line up of food trucks it’s the perfect way to spend a summer Sunday, so bring a rug, pack a picnic and prepare to spend many lazy afternoons at this free, family friendly event.
“Due to COVID-19 event restrictions, Sunday Music will run a little differently this summer to keep FAC’s visitors, musicians and staff safe.
“The concerts will take place under the trees on the larger South Lawn to allow the audience to spread out. There will be a strict crowd capacity, so people should head along early and settle in for the afternoon.”
Sunday Music is possible thanks to the ongoing support of Bendigo Bank – Fremantle Community Bank Branch. 2020–21 is the twelfth year of the long standing partnership.
Acts for November and December will be announced next month.
