Jum Rum & Jungle Walk Upgrade

Kuranda residents are advised that upgrade works are proposed to commence on the existing Jum Rum & Jungle Pedestrian Walking Paths in early October, with works proposed to start on the Jum Rum section of the path. The scope of works will necessitate the closure of sections of the pathway as the project progresses, with no pedestrian access through or past the active work site -effectively closing the circuit to pedestrian through traffic. The upgrade works require the installation of a new asphalt surface overlay including replacement of existing step units and general infrastructure maintenance and replacement as required. The works are expected to be complete by the end of 2020, weather permitting.
