Blacktown City Council is re-opening its outdoor pools in time for summer.
The much-loved seasonal venues, Mount Druitt Swimming Centre and Riverstone Swimming Centre, will re-open for the summer season on Saturday 26 September 2020 at 9.00 am.
Blacktown City Mayor Tony Bleasdale OAM said, “Mark Saturday 26 September in your diaries as Mount Druitt and Riverstone Swim Centres are back in time for the school holidays!
“Our outdoor pools have been at the heart of the community for many decades and families of all ages can now get back in and swim in a COVID safe environment for the warmer months ahead.” added Mayor Bleasdale.
Both Mount Druitt and Riverstone Swimming Centres offer:
• 50-metre swimming pool
• leisure pool
• babies pool
• change room facilities
• playground
• grassed area and more
The outdoor pools at Blacktown Aquatic Centre and Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre Emerton will also open from Saturday 26 September 2020 - the perfect place to cool off as the weather starts to warm up.
“A reminder to the community that all our leisure and aquatic centres are COVID safe and we ask that patrons adhere to social distancing and healthy swimming guidelines when visiting any of our venues,” said Mayor Bleasdale.
To comply with COVID-19 safety, all customers wishing to visit any of our leisure and aquatic centres, including Mount Druitt and Riverstone need to make a booking in advance. This can be done over the phone, at the centre or online.
