While many businesses have been forced into hibernation during lockdown, now is the time to plan for the easing of restrictions, and be ready to welcome back customers once doors can reopen.
Council’s BizHub Maroondah is continuing to give businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic free access to online workshops, training events and resources so they can plan for a stronger future and take advantage of new opportunities.
During the month of October, small business owners are invited to register for free and low-cost interactive webinars with the latest information and ideas to help businesses adapt to the changes and emerge stronger post-pandemic.
Delivered in partnership with Business Victoria and other leading business agencies, the online sessions cover a range of topics including help with recovering from lockdown restrictions and re-engaging with customers; selling products on Facebook; setting up a Shopify store; to planning your business website and creating a Facebook business page.
There are also interactive workshops to help you stand out in a visual online marketplace, increase your existing website’s visibility using search engine optimisation, and harness the power of social media to drive your audience to buy and share your products.
Established and emerging businesses can also take advantage of free Small Business Clinics dedicated to helping businesses requiring extra support. The one-on-one mentoring clinics can help to assess your current situation and assist you in the steps you need to take to overcome an issue or information gap.
All workshops are specifically designed for Victorian-based businesses and are delivered online.
