Round One of Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Grants Program Opens Soon

Applications for Round One (2020/2021) of the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) will open from Monday, 5 October 2020.
Interested applicants are invited to attend an online information session on Wednesday, 30 September 2020 to learn about grant eligibility, as well as get tips on how to navigate the application process.
The RADF grants program is open to eligible community organisations, business and individuals to support arts and cultural projects in the Gympie region.
Arts and Culture portfolio holder, Cr Dolly Jensen, said this year Council is responding to the needs of the sector by offering a special grant round focussed on recovery and resilience.
“The arts sector has taken a huge hit given the effects of COVID-19.
“We know that the arts play an important role in creating our sense of community and as we continue to recover from the impacts of COVID-19, we know that bring our community together will be a critical part of our recovery process,” Cr Jensen said.
The three grant categories for this round are Creative/Concept Development to assist in the development of new ideas and projects, Creative Community Projects for arts projects that have a broader reach within the community, and Individual Skills Development that offers support to local arts practitioners to undertake professional development opportunities.
The RADF Information Session will be held online via Zoom from 5.30pm Wednesday, 30 September for anyone interested in applying to the program.
