The community can now have their say on a draft Review of Employment Lands Strategy which sets clear strategic directions for local employment land with the aim of facilitating and enhancing local employment opportunities and encouraging investment throughout Campbelltown.
The draft strategy identifies existing and potential employment land uses across the LGA and recommends a number of evidence-based strategic actions for Council to take to increase the availability and capacity of employment lands and protect existing employment zones.
Residents, businesses and potential investors are encouraged to submit their feedback on the draft strategy which in on public exhibition until Friday, 30 October.
“Campbelltown is a major metropolitan centre within the Western Parkland City so it is important that we have adequate land available in existing and new employment precincts to attract investment and local jobs,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“More than 60 per cent of our residents currently travel outside the LGA to work and we are seeing a rapid increase in the number of young families who are choosing to live here so it is vital that we plan for the

“Campbelltown has many existing strengths, including strong manufacturing precincts in Ingleburn and Minto and the health and education precinct around Campbelltown/Macarthur where it is important we look to attract further investment,” he said.
