The Friendship Garden is a shared community garden, located at Auburn Centre for Community, developed to promote healthy living with fun outdoor activities for the community.
The garden encourages people to grow and share local food, whilst meeting new people, sharing skills and improving health and wellbeing. All community members are welcome to get involved and grow your favourite vegetables, herbs and fruit with other like-minded gardeners. All levels of skills welcome!
In the Friendship Garden we
grow various seasonal fruits and vegetables locally take fresh organic produce home have a great place to socialise and make new friends share our knowledge, skills and learn from each other connect with our neighbours and help to build a great local resource learn about sustainable living and permaculture principles share ideas for the growth and development of the garden, including the design of the space How to get involvedParticipation is open to everyone in the Auburn community, as well as the greater Cumberland LGA, no matter your gardening skill or experience. Local organisations are welcome to run outdoor programs as well.
