Council Offers Funding Assistance for Christmas Themed Activities

Wollondilly Shire Council is now accepting applications from local church and community groups who are planning Christmas themed activities or Carols by Candlelight events in 2020.
Funding of up to $500 is available to eligible groups to assist with the associated costs of hosting a Christmas activity in Wollondilly which could include small infrastructure projects such as the installation of Christmas lights & decorations or holding Christmas Carols.
Organisations are encouraged to partner together to create larger events in towns and villages across the Shire, which will be considered favourably.
Mayor Robert Khan said, “It would be great to see local groups apply for the funding to help them meet the cost of holding Christmas activities in Wollondilly.”
“These local events are a lot of fun and help bring our community together to celebrate the Christmas festive season,” he said.
Applications are available from Council’s website or by contacting the Community Projects & Events Team Leader on 4677 9611. Applications close on Friday 23 October 2020.
