Isaac Regional Council has partnered with My Community Directory and Diary, an Australia-wide online searchable directory to help locals find hobbies, volunteer opportunities, health information and community events.
Mayor Baker said the initiative will help Isaac residents better connect by finding up to date data on businesses, services and events in their local communities.
“There are hundreds of local community groups and services on the website, which receives thousands of hits each month,” Mayor Baker said.
Mayor Baker encouraged local community groups to list their details with the directory to take advantage of all the platform has to offer.
“If you’re a local service, non-profit organisation or a community group, I encourage you to sign up to reach more Isaac residents, find volunteers and promote upcoming events and activities.”
“The service is free and provides another avenue to market our many wonderful services, community groups and events we host across our region,” Mayor Baker said.
As part of Council’s partnership launch, Council is hosting seven free My Directory and Diary informational events so community groups and businesses can find out more about the service:
