As part of Children’s Book Week 2020, Wollondilly Library will celebrate with a ‘Create your own Curious Creature’ competition.
The competition will run from 17 October to 23 October with winners being notified on 27 October. Participants can draw, paint or build a model of a curious creature and send a picture to the Library to be in the chance to win a Book Week shortlisted prize pack.
Mayor for Wollondilly Robert Khan said, “Book Week is the perfect time to celebrate the magic of reading with the younger members of our community.”
“The Wollondilly Library has been hosting some great activities online and I am so pleased that we can celebrate this year’s Book Week, even if it is a little different.”
Curious Creatures, Wild Minds Storytime will be held at 10am on Wednesday 21 October on the Wollondilly Library’s Facebook page.
A Council staff member will pre-record a reading of one of the shortlisted books on Facebook each day at 11am between 17 October and 23 October 2020.
Book Week activities are suitable for children aged 0-16 years.
