Current Council prepares for its final meeting

As of the date of signing, the Chief Executive Officer has certified that this material is not considered to be electoral material in accordance with Council’s Governance Rules made under the Local Government Act 2020, Civic Place, Warragul.

The Council elected in 2016 will hold its final meeting this Wednesday 14 October before the term concludes on Election Day, 24 October.

The final meeting of this Council includes the following items for consideration:

To date, Council has received 188 submissions on the Longwarry Saleyards application.

Community members may make submissions on the planning applications only up to 5pm Monday 12 October.

Submissions may be read at the Meeting at the Mayor’s discretion. Due to time constraints, a three-minute limit applies to any submission read out at the meeting. Submissions are provided to Councillors prior to the meeting and published in full in the Minutes if the submitter agrees to its publication while completing the online form.

Members of the public cannot currently attend Council Meetings in person due to Covid-19 restrictions but may watch the meeting via live stream on Council’s website.
