Toowoomba Region Councillors this month resume their schedule of Friday community visits to personally speak with residents across the region.
Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) Environment and Community Services Committee chair Cr James O’Shea said residents were welcome to meet elected representatives at any of the scheduled locations.
“Residents are encouraged to attend the community visits to discuss any relevant Council-related activities, services or projects with the visiting Councillors,” Cr O’Shea said.
“Personal Councillor visits complement the other means of interacting with elected representatives and follow a schedule of personal visits that have been conducted in previous terms of Council.
“The Toowoomba Region covers 13,000 km² and the community visits have been organised to ensure Councillors will be available to meet residents at towns and venues across our region each month.
“Council’s Community Development Officers from the respective areas will attend the sessions to help organise follow-up information requests.”
Residents are encouraged to book an appointment to meet with Councillors by calling 131 872 or emailing [email protected]
