News Green waste collections begin next week from Wednesday 14 October Oct 10 2020 Its that time of year again to clean up and look around your property for any items which may become wind-blown in the event of a cyclone. The Shire of Ashburton will be collecting green waste in TOM PRICE next week, starting Wednesday 14 October. A reminder that all green waste should be no more than 2m long and 500mm in diameter. Please ensure your material is placed on the verge and where possible keep tree pruning waste tied in bundles. Safely stack items in a location that is easily accessible for tractors and bobcats and not on top of water meters, footpaths, taps, Telstra pits and maintain a two metre clearance of green mini pillars (green domes). Please do not include any other waste in your pile, such as white goods, batteries, gas bottles or other flammable objects. The Shire's green waste collection will commence from Wednesday 14 October for Tom Price residents, and from Monday 19 October for Paraburdoo residents. Onslow collection will begin during the week starting Wednesday 28 October. For any queries or if you require assistance, please call the Waste Department on 9188 5505. More news articles
