Back on the crossings

Bayside’s school crossing supervisors are back in action with the return of many students to the classroom.

Friendly School Crossing Supervisors will practice physical distancing at all crossings – reminding crossing users to stay 1.5m apart.

Only crossing supervisors should operate pedestrian light buttons to ensure good hand hygiene.

Council has been consulting with Bayside schools regarding their requirements for supervised crossings. The safety of school students is paramount.

Parking restrictions remain in effect and enforceable to ensure the safety of students and other members of our community during busy traffic periods.

Please keep an eye out for pedestrians and crossing supervisors at intersections and drive safely.
