Lake Morris Road will be closed for resealing from Campbell’s Lookout to Copperlode Dam for a week from Thursday (15 October), weather permitting.
The road will be closed temporarily on weekdays to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians between 7am and 6pm for an expected period of a week.
Traffic management will be in place to allow essential worker access, however delays are expected.
The length of Lake Morris Road will be resealed, starting at Copperlode Dam, and when works progress below Campbell’s lookout, traffic will be managed under traffic control.
The road will be open on the weekend however loose stones will be present and cyclists are requested to observe caution.
After the seal has been placed, loose stones and soft bitumen can be an annoyance, however this is an important part of the reseal process. It allows the traffic movement to roll the loose stones in as the bitumen hardens.
Council appreciates residents’ patience and cooperation during this period.
