Skate comp winners slide to success

With skate parks temporarily off limits, the Shredability backyard challenge ollied into centre stage as skaters took to their boards to showcase new tricks mastered in their backyards and driveways.

The challenge saw almost 30 participants submitting videos of their best tricks, there was serious competition from skateboarders, BMXers and rollerbladers alike, all competing for top spot.

Results

High fives to those who participated and a big shout out to Renton from Shredability for setting the challenges, judging, and sharing insights into skateboarding culture in Bayside. Thanks to Renton, everyone who sent in footage will receive rad stickers to personalise their gear.

Runners up: Max, Ella and Jackson

Skate parks are currently closed in line with advice from the State Government. As soon as restrictions ease, skate parks and bowls will be made operational again.
