Enrolments for Gannawarra Shire Council-managed child care programs for 2021 are now open.
Services are all registered providers and delivered by dedicated early childhood educators, giving families a range of options to choose from.
“Council is proud to manage centre-based care at the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre in Kerang, as well as Family Day Care programs at Cohuna, Kerang and Leitchville,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.
“Registered provider with Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority, the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre offers 96 long-day care places from babies to pre-schoolers.
“For those who prefer small groups our Family Day Educators provide quality care for young babies through to pre-teens in comfortable, safe, home environments.”
To assist with planning for next year, parents and guardians of children eligible for either program are encouraged to visit www.gsc.vic.gov.au/enrolments or contact the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre to request an enrolment pack. Parents and guardians who have children currently enrolled in centre-based care at the Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre will receive an enrolment pack later this month.
“Parents and guardians can prepare by having a number of items ready prior to receiving an enrolment pack. These include their child’s current immunisation history statement from Medicare, any related court orders and, if applicable, a signed Medical Action Plan from their child’s doctor,” Mr O’Reilly said.
“Families should also have submitted their claim for Child Care Subsidy via their myGov account, to ensure fee assistance is in place before care begins.”
